Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Designer and Developer with 3 to 8 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in handling projects and leading teams. As a Senior WordPress Designer and Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing WordPress-based websites and applications while overseeing project execution and providing guidance to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom WordPress themes, templates, and plugins, ensuring high-quality code and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to gather requirements and understand project objectives.
• Lead and manage a team of designers and developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery within agreed-upon parameters.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain coding standards, identify areas for improvement, and address any issues or bugs.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in WordPress development.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, assisting with problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, content creators, and marketing teams, to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
• Perform website maintenance, updates, and enhancements as required, ensuring optimal performance, security, and usability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress websites and applications.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4 to 8 years of professional experience in WordPress design and development, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
• Strong proficiency in WordPress CMS, including theme and plugin development and customization.
• Advanced knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and MySQL.
• Experience with responsive web design, mobile optimization techniques, and familiarity with popular frameworks like Bootstrap.
• Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and web standards.
• Proficiency in using version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques, caching mechanisms, and SEO best practices for WordPress websites.
• Experience with integrating third-party APIs and services into WordPress.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to mentor and guide junior team members.
