Role Overview:
As the Vice President of Accounting & Finance at Maxima Apparel Corp, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial controls of the company and its family of brands and subsidiaries worldwide. Your main focus will be leading financial strategy and management, overseeing teams in various locations, and ensuring all financial functions are carried out effectively. You will report directly to the CEO and collaborate with the executive team on Human and Financial capital management. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who can drive growth and strategy while embracing a holistic vision for the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own all general accounting functions in compliance with GAAP, including the monthly financial closing process.
- Control and manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Collections, and financial functions for teams in 4 geo-locations (USA, MXO, IND, CHN).
- Maintain a system of accounting policies and procedures with controls to mitigate risk and enhance financial accuracy.
- Manage accounting teams globally.
- Prepare and file Annual Corporate tax filings, Shareholder tax filings, and sales tax filings for all sales verticals including Wholesale, Retail, and Ecommerce.
- Prepare and file international subsidiary tax filings, including VAT/GST management.
- Manage payroll functions and Human Capital Management strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to the organization and implement risk management policies.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support company growth and profitability, including budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Manage the company's cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Serve as a strategic partner within the organization, contributing to its overall direction and success.

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role.
- Industry Experience Preferred in Apparel, Fashion, Consumer Goods.
- Proven track record of financial leadership, strategic planning, and driving results in a complex environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities focusing on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
