- Edit daily news packages, bulletins, and special programs.
- Assemble raw footage, sound bites, graphics, and scripts into compelling news stories.
- Ensure accuracy, speed, and quality under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with reporters, producers, and graphics teams.
- Handle multi-cam editing for studio programs and panel discussions.
- Incorporate lower-thirds, tickers, transitions, and news graphics as per channel standards.
- Maintain consistency in style, tone, and editorial guidelines.
- *Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Proven experience in news package editing and program editing (Mandatory).
- Proficiency in software such as:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Final Cut Pro
- Avid Media Composer
- After Effects (preferred)
- Strong understanding of newsroom workflows.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Good sense of timing, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Knowledge of news ethics and editorial sensitivity.
- *Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience working in a TV news channel.
- Familiarity with broadcast formats and delivery standards.
- Basic knowledge of sound design and color correction.
- Degree/Diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, or Film Editing (preferred but not mandatory).
