Role Overview:
As the VP, Technical Program Manager at Synchrony, you will be responsible for leading complex infrastructure programs and projects, coordinating with multiple technical domains, and ensuring successful execution of initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning and execution of infrastructure initiatives such as compute platform upgrades, identity/AD changes, network modernization, cloud foundation work, and more.
- Own scope, schedule, milestones, and resource coordination using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methods.
- Maintain project artifacts including project plans, RAID logs, decision logs, and change control documentation.
- Drive alignment and execution across various teams and manage inter-team dependencies.
- Facilitate working sessions, technical checkpoints, and governance forums to ensure progress.
- Provide timely status reporting and deliver executive-level presentations for senior leadership.
- Build relationships and influence stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
- Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience leading technology projects, with a focus on infrastructure initiatives.
- Strong command of scope management, scheduling, dependency management, governance cadence, and delivery metrics.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure domains including Compute, AD/Identity, and Network fundamentals.
- Ability to translate technical details into business-impact terms and engage effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project delivery tools and reporting tools.

Desired Characteristics:
- PMP certification or equivalent credentials.
- Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
- ITIL Foundation or practical experience with incident/problem/change management.
- Strong vendor management skills and experience with cloud migration/enablement programs.
- Familiarity with coordinating technology changes with HR.
