Black Vector VFX - Now Hiring Prep Leads (Mumbai) Black Vector VFX is launching its new Mumbai studio and building a core founding team for an exciting slate of high-end VFX projects starting at the end of February. We’re looking for Senior Prep Artists ready to step into Lead roles — artists who are technically strong, detail-oriented, and passionate about high-quality cosmetic and cleanup work. Who We’re Looking For - Prep Lead (Compositing) This is a contract role reporting directly to the Compositing Supervisor, with responsibilities including: • Reviewing work and providing creative and technical feedback to maintain quality and consistency • Delivering senior-level paint and prep tasks within production deadlines • Strong experience in beauty fixes and de-aging work • Expertise in face marker removal, wrinkle cleanup, and makeup/prosthetic fixes • Advanced experience in marker, wire, rig removal, artifact cleanup, and background plate restoration • Ability to handle grading, wrapping, morphing, distortion, and complex cleanup workflows • Using mixed techniques to solve challenging wire removals and clean plates • Working efficiently both independently and within a team • Troubleshooting technical and creative challenges and proposing solutions • Taking full ownership of shots and proactively solving production problems What You Bring We’re seeking Senior Roto/Prep Artists ready to take on leadership responsibilities, with: • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a VFX studio environment • Experience delivering photo-real VFX for feature films or episodic content • Expert-level knowledge of Prep, Beauty, and De-Aging workflows • Ability to work closely with Compositing and VFX Supervisors to meet aesthetic and technical goals • Strong awareness of schedules, deadlines, and delivery expectations • A positive, collaborative, and proactive mindset Role Details Location: Andheri West, Mumbai (On-site - commute or relocation preferred) Project Start: End of February Work: High-end Feature Film & Episodic VFX How to Apply Send your reel/portfolio and CV to: Subject Line: Prep Lead - Black Vector VFX
