CAS - Team Lead / Manager

Responsibilities:

- This role sits above the offshore Team Leader level and focuses on leadership, governance, quality, capacity management, and strategic execution, while remaining actively involved in client accounting work.
- This role is intentionally designed with approximately 50% of time dedicated to review, management, coaching, and oversight, and 50% spent on hands-on accounting and complex engagements.
- The Manager serves as the primary offshore counterpart to U.S. CAS leadership and plays a key role in building offshore leadership capability as the team scales.
- Over time, this role may expand to include direct client interaction, controller-level oversight, and CFO advisory support, based on experience and firm needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Offshore Leadership, Coaching & Development
- Experience mandatory in Sales Tax calculation, Payroll, W2, 1099
- Lead, mentor, and develop offshore CAS Team Leaders and Associates.
- Establish clear expectations around quality, documentation, communication, and deadlines.
- Recognize strengths and development needs of team members and coach toward firm and

individual goals.

- Play a key role in performance reviews and ongoing development planning.
- Provide timely, candid feedback to both offshore team members and U.S. leadership to surface issues early and drive continuous improvement.
- Support team engagement and morale, including onboarding activities and occasional teambuilding or social initiatives.
- Bridge Between U.S. and Offshore Teams
- Serve as the primary offshore point of contact for U.S.-based CAS leadership.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment across teams and time zones.
- Support cultural integration by honoring local practices while aligning with MMB’s qualified standards and expectations.
- Translate U.S. priorities into actionable guidance for offshore teams and escalate concerns

proactively.

Review, Quality Control & Governance:

- Oversee review standards and quality control across offshore work.
- Review complex accounting areas, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reports.
- Ensure balance sheet integrity and adherence to U.S. GAAP.
- Identify rework trends and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain consistent documentation, workpaper, and review practices.
- Partner with U.S. leadership on governance, escalation paths, and performance metrics.

Workflow, Capacity & Project Management:

- Oversee workload planning, scheduling, and capacity management across offshore teams.
- Monitor deadlines, adjust priorities, and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Proactively identify risks, staffing constraints, or quality concerns and collaborate with U.S.

leadership to resolve them.

- Ensure CAS processes, procedures, and service standards are followed consistently.

Hiring, Onboarding & Team Growth:

- Participate in interviewing and evaluating offshore candidates.
- Coordinate onboarding consistent with U.S. onboarding practices in partnership with QX and U.S. leadership.
- Provide recommendations on team structure, role design, and future scaling.
- Support development of core competencies for the offshore CAS team.

Process Improvement, Automation & Tools:

- Maintain a forward-thinking mindset focused on automation, efficiency, and continuous

improvement.

- Partner with U.S. CAS leadership to evaluate and implement new tools and technologies.
- Oversee adoption and training on CAS workflows, systems, and process improvements.
- Ensure offshore teams adhere to firm-approved tools and procedures.

Advanced Accounting & Advisory (As Role Evolves):

- Provide oversight and support for controller-level and CFO services, including:
- Internal controls assessments
- Workflow and process improvements
- Accounting system migrations and implementations
- Cash flow forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and FP&A;
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, including leases and revenue recognition, required.
