*Primary title: Instructional Designer (Assessment Writer)**
A high-growth business operating in the Educational Technology and UK assessment content sector that designs and delivers UK-aligned instructional materials, vocational assessments, and digital learning experiences for learners and corporate clients. We create reliable, standards-driven assessments and concise instructional resources that map to learning outcomes and regulatory frameworks across the UK market. This remote role supports UK-facing product teams to author, quality-assure, and localise assessment and learning content.
  • Role & Responsibilities**Author high-quality UK-aligned assessment items (MCQs, short-answer, constructed-response) and supporting scoring rubrics mapped to learning outcomes.Design instructional content and assessment blueprints that align curriculum objectives with summative and formative evaluation , proofread, and perform item-level quality assurance to ensure accuracy, clarity, fairness, and regulatory compliance.Collaborate with subject-matter experts, SMEs, and product managers to convert technical inputs into learner-facing content and validated assessments.Package content for digital delivery: prepare SCORM/xAPI packages, set up items in LMS item banks, and ensure metadata and tagging are consistent.Maintain version control and content documentation; implement feedback from pilot reviews and psychometric checks to refine assessment quality.*Skills & QualificationsMust-Have**Assessment item writingInstructional designAssessment blueprintingUK English localizationArticulate StorylineSCORM/xAPI*Preferred**Ofqual/RQF framework familiarityLMS integration (Moodle/Blackboard)WCAG accessibility standards
