Works closely with Bhopal based Reporter & teams in Delhi, is responsible for an area of output, including editorial control, reporting, selection and compilation of material, production, leading deployed teams and planning and implementing effective use of resources.

Responsible for originating and producing stories, filming, editing and producing a range of video, audio and digital content for BBC audiences for website, social platforms, TV and podcast to the highest professional standards. Required to work with editorial and planning teams.
Required to film and edit material for broadcast where appropriate, including long and short form programming, outside broadcasts, online, newsgathering in the field, live or recorded, often edited in the field, to feed material back to base, utilising the latest technology.
May be required to travel at short notice, sometime work on his own, therefore flexibility is essential.
Relevant craft skills (camera work, lighting editing) are essential, together with excellent digital journalism knowledge.
Must be able to operate current broadcast technical equipment on location and at base, demonstrating a well-developed sense of visual awareness and a willingness to learn how to use new technology and kit. Should respond to Breaking news scenarios actively.
Proficiency in written Hindi and a basic understanding of English is required while good knowledge of Bengali will also be useful.
