TRANSFER PRICING LEAD – (GG11) Job description – role and responsibilities The Transfer Pricing Lead will be responsible for the processing, delivery, and accuracy of the transfer pricing accounting entries for a specific group of companies within the relevant TP framework that the team supports. This role sits within the central TP team based in Bengaluru, India. The role is a part of the Global fiancé team which manages the central global functions that support the 3 main divisions with the organization – D&A, Risk Intelligence, Markets & Post Trade. The team currently supports over 100+ entities and accounts for over $8bn value in transactions. This role requires the candidate to have previously performed accounting activities within a CoE/GSS/GCC environment. An understanding of intercompany processes and/or Transfer pricing concepts within a large global organization. The candidate must have a working knowledge of both SOX and IFRS. The role reports to the Transfer Pricing Manager. The key activities for the role are as follows: Manage several of medium/high risk Refinitiv company’s monthly TP results to ensure numbers reported are in alignment with group and local transfer pricing practices; monitoring and analyzing financial data and transactions to identify and resolve potential issues or risks Review & approve the monthly cash tracker and work with Treasury and Controller teams on settlement of TP items that are <90 Days due. Execute Customer specific reporting and analysis within the defined timelines. Take necessary precautions to have controls in place to validate the reports. Manage the responses of the team to customer queries ensuring that they are resolved within acceptable timescales. Where it is not feasible then escalate to TP manager. Prepare TP Journals as a part of the Month End activity and ensure that they are posted within the stipulated timeline with utmost accuracy. Review & approve Journals and Settlements prepared by TP Sr. Accountant & TP Accountants. Provide support, calculations, and documentation for local, group and tax audits Review and process Statutory Adjustments through the Transfer Pricing Model for the assigned entities and issue updated TP calculations to the controller. Initiate and own the Transfer Pricing Documentation for the assigned Legal entities. Provide support to TP Sr. Accountant and TP Accountants on any queries and build a collaborative & cohesive environment. Ensure all activities are done in accordance with the global finance calendar & TP calendar to ensure that all deliverables are met and are in compliance with TP SOX narrative. Participate in TP Model enhancements by the way of testing and providing avenues for improvement and flag potential failure points. Actively work on mitigating operational risks by reviewing tasks executed by TP Sr. Accountants and TP Accountants to ensure quality delivery to our customers. Department’s role The Centre of Excellence is one of two centers based in Bangalore, India and Colombo, Sri Lanka. Providing the finance support and processing needs for LSEG Globally. Activities include supplier invoice processing and payment, employee expenses, cash management, Treasury Operations, Intergroup accounting, financial and Statutory accounting, management reporting, local compliance, and fixed asset responsibilities. Person specification – required skills and education. Key attributes for this role are: Minimum of 9 years of experience in General Accounting, transfer pricing/international tax or related fields. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proficiency in financial analysis and data interpretation. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with a forward-looking and proactive mindset that is risk adverse. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in using financial software, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft 365. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate complex transfer pricing concepts to stakeholders & auditors. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Understanding of end-to-end accounting process. Sound judgment and ability to make informed decisions in complex transfer pricing scenarios. Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly. Comfortable with working autonomously. Working knowledge of SOX & IFRS. Strong work ethic and team spirit.
