A PGT Civics teacher is responsible for teaching Political Science/Civics to senior secondary students (usually Grade 6 to 10). The role focuses on developing students’ understanding of political systems, governance, constitution, and current affairs, while preparing them for board examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Political Science/Civics as per CBSE curriculum

Explain concepts such as democracy, constitution, rights, duties, governance, and international relations

Prepare lesson plans, notes, and presentations

Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical, and debating skills

Conduct tests, assignments, and regular assessments

Guide students in board exam preparation and answer-writing techniques

Encourage discussions, debates, and awareness of current political events

Evaluate answer sheets and provide constructive feedback

Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment

Participate in school activities, seminars, and workshops

Communicate with parents regarding students’ academic progress

Eligibility Criteria:

Postgraduate degree (M.A.) in Political Science/Civics

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory

CTET/TET or other relevant teaching qualification (as required)

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of Political Science and Civics

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to explain complex political concepts clearly

Classroom management and leadership skills

Awareness of current affairs and global issues

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
