Technical Skills
  • Deep electronics/hardware engineering expertise with full product lifecycle experience – from design and prototyping through NPI and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with DFM, design validation, and hardware testing processes is expected.
  • Strong background in EMS operations – e.g. printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), mechanical assembly, testing, and quality control.
  • Able to apply industry design rules, standard BOM management, equipment and process knowledge to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability.
  • Proven ability to manage products from concept to production ramp, including design transfer to manufacturing, supply chain coordination, and sustaining engineering.
  • Solid understanding of quality standards (ISO, IPC) and regulatory compliance; ensures products meet reliability and quality requirements through proper testing and qualifications.

  • Tool Skills
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project or similar) for scheduling and tracking progress.
  • Experienced in using program management methodologies and documentation for planning, risk management, and change control.
  • Skilled in PLM and ERP systems to manage BOMs, change orders, and production planning.
  • Familiar with collaboration platforms and version control for coordinating across global teams.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for analysis and reporting
  • Capable of preparing concise reports, executive summaries, and technical documentation for stakeholders.

  • Special Requirements
  • PMP certification (or equivalent formal project management credential) is strongly preferred and often required for roles at this level, indicating a solid grasp of standard project management processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects in a global, cross-cultural environment; ability to coordinate with international teams and customers.
  • Willingness to travel (estimated ~15% – 20%) for on-site supplier visits, customer meetings, and program reviews as necessary.

  • Job Description
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of electronic hardware products in an EMS environment.
  • Primary liaison between customers and internal teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality), ensuring that product design, development, NPI, and mass production meet customer requirements as well as cost, quality, and schedule targets.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination and risk management to successfully deliver complex electronic products from concept through volume manufacturing.
  • Accountable for program outcomes, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Responsibilities
  • Develop and drive comprehensive program plans covering design, schedule, budget, and quality targets. Monitor program performance and adjust plans to ensure on-time delivery and on-budget execution of hardware products.
  • Serve as the primary interface to customers, managing expectations and communications. Provide regular program status updates, address customer concerns, and ensure that all deliverables meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams (hardware design, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, supply chain, quality) to meet program milestones.
  • Work closely with internal departments (R&D, NPI, operations, procurement, quality) and external partners to resolve issues and achieve program goals.
  • Identify program risks (technical, supply chain, timeline) and proactively implement mitigation plans.
  • Manage scope changes via formal change control (ECO), assessing impact on resources, timeline, and cost, and communicating changes to stakeholders. Ensure all decisions and changes align with customer contracts and requirements.
  • Oversee product validation, testing, and quality assurance activities to meet high reliability standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Track key performance indicators (yield, on-time delivery, customer returns) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program performance and customer satisfaction.
