As a Team Leader - Project Controls at WSP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing project controls capability within the Transportation & Infrastructure PMO. Your responsibilities will include leading and developing a large project controls team, ensuring high performance and engagement. You will also be responsible for overseeing planning, scheduling, cost management, and other project governance activities across major transportation and infrastructure programs. Additionally, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and support issue escalation and variance analysis with senior leadership.
  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • - Lead, mentor, and develop a large project controls team to ensure high performance and capability uplift.
    - Conduct regular team reviews, skills development planning, and succession planning aligned with PMO needs.
    - Oversee planning, scheduling, cost management, earned value analysis, risk tracking, and change management activities.
    - Streamline and optimize project controls workflows, templates, dashboards, and reporting cycles for consistency and efficiency.
    - Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across cost, schedule, and project performance.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • - Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent project management qualification.
    - 15+ years of experience in Project Controls within engineering consulting or large capital programs.
    - PMP/PMQ or equivalent project management certification highly desirable.
    - Chartership in Project Management Required.
    - Proven ability to lead teams of project controls professionals in a global delivery environment.
    - Strong capabilities in cost control, scheduling, EVM, forecasting, change management, and dashboard reporting.
