About the Role :We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Technical Business Systems Analyst with strong experience in U.S. Life and Annuity insurance systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation by translating customer needs into clear, actionable, and testable requirements.Youll work closely with customers, product teams, and development teams to document system requirements, data mappings, and process workflows while ensuring that our solutions align seamlessly with customer business objectives. This position requires both business acumen and technical understanding, particularly in life insurance administration systems and data integration.Key Responsibilities :Requirements Analysis & Documentation :- Collaborate directly with customers to discover, organize, and clarify business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.- Document detailed requirements and acceptance criteria in the form of user stories, process flows, data mappings, and business rules.- Identify and analyze gaps between Sureify product features and customer business requirements, recommending feasible solutions or process redesigns.- Partner with subject matter experts to elaborate requirements that facilitate efficient development and testing.Customer & Team Collaboration :- Work closely with U.S.-based customers, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.- Participate actively in daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, and solution design workshops, providing clarity on requirements and priorities.- Serve as a point of contact for the development and QA teams, promptly addressing questions and ensuring accurate understanding of functional specifications.- Communicate changes, enhancements, and decisions clearly to stakeholders, both verbally and in written form.Testing & Quality Assurance :- Review and validate test cases to ensure alignment with functional requirements and acceptance criteria.- Collaborate with QA and test automation teams to ensure comprehensive coverage of real-world scenarios.- Participate in testing cycles to verify deliverables meet defined business and technical expectations.Continuous Improvement & Practice Development :- Work closely with Product Owners and other Business Analysts to refine and mature Sureifys BA practice.- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve documentation standards, and enhance the overall delivery lifecycle.Requirements :- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in software implementation or integration projects.- 2+ years of hands-on experience in the U.S. Life and Annuity insurance industry is required.- Proven experience with life administration systems and related core financial systems (e.g., system migration, data integration/transformation, data analytics).- Strong understanding of life and annuity data models and business processes.- Experience defining and managing functional requirements in Agile/Scrum environments.- Proficiency in developing process flow diagrams and using modeling tools.- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to collaborate diplomatically with U.S.-based customers.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.- Familiarity with JIRA and other Agile project management tools preferred.- Flexibility to adjust working hours as needed to align with U.S. time zones and project schedules.Education & Certifications :- Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst on complex technology implementations.Preferred certifications :- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)- Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)Preferred System Experience :- Hands-on knowledge or familiarity with one or more of the following core administration systems is a strong advantage- FAST, Achieve, ALIP, OIPA, Ingenium, LifePRO, AS400, WMA, PolicyCore, OneOffice, LifeAdmin Plus, CyberLife, LifeComm, Vantage, Capsil, ID3, PAS+, ALIS, etc. (ref:hirist.tech)
