Role Overview

The Hyperlocal Fleet Hiring & Personnel Manager is responsible for recruiting,

onboarding, and managing delivery fleet partners within a hyperlocal logistics network.

The role ensures adequate fleet availability, operational efficiency, compliance, and

retention to meet daily delivery demand across service areas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fleet Partner Hiring & Supply Creation

● Plan and execute city/cluster-level fleet hiring strategies to meet demand.

● Source delivery partners through referrals, field activations, job portals, and

vendor partners.

● Conduct screening, verification, and onboarding of delivery personnel.

● Maintain a healthy active fleet supply vs demand ratio.

2. Onboarding & Training

● Ensure smooth documentation, KYC, and app onboarding.

● Conduct orientation sessions covering:

○ Delivery SOPs

○ App usage

○ Customer service standards

● Monitor first-week activation and productivity.

3. Fleet Management & Retention

● Track attendance, login hours, productivity, and churn of fleet partners.

● Implement engagement and retention initiatives.

● Address grievances, payment issues, and operational challenges faced by

delivery partners.

● Build strong relationships with fleet vendors and partners.

4. Performance Monitoring

● Track key metrics such as:

○ Active fleet vs required fleet

○ Daily login hours

○ Order acceptance rate

○ Delivery turnaround time

○ Attrition rate

● Provide weekly hiring and supply reports to leadership.

5. Compliance & Documentation

● Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and company policies.

● Verify vehicle documents, driver licenses, and insurance.

● Maintain accurate fleet database and documentation records.

6. Vendor & Field Management

● Coordinate with fleet vendors and staffing agencies.

● Manage field recruiters and onboarding executives.

● Organize hiring drives and local recruitment campaigns.

● Fleet supply fulfillment %

● Active fleet utilization

● New driver onboarding numbers

● Driver retention rate

● Cost per hire

● Order fulfillment rate

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations, or related field.

Experience

● 3–5 years experience in:

○ Last-mile logistics

○ Fleet operations

○ Rider hiring / gig workforce management

● Experience in hyperlocal logistics companies preferred (e.g., Shadowfax-like

operations).

Skills

● Strong field hiring and vendor management

● Data-driven decision making

● Operational planning and workforce management

● Communication and conflict resolution

● Basic analytics and reporting (Excel / dashboards)

Preferred Background

● Experience managing delivery partners (bike riders / gig workforce).

● Prior exposure to hyperlocal logistics, e-commerce, or quick commerce

operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
