Job Purpose To manage the day-to-day operations of the store/warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory management, smooth material flow, and minimal wastage, while supporting production and operational efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities:-
· Conduct regular physical counts of all inventory items. · Compare physical stock with recorded inventory and investigate discrepancies. · Maintain accurate records and prepare stock reconciliation reports. · Implement measures to prevent inventory mismatches or losses. · Track inventory usage and generate Inventory Consumption Reports. · Monitor trends and support budgeting and procurement planning. · Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely material availability. · Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts. · Monitor material losses and implement strategies to minimize wastage. · Ensure proper storage and handling to prevent damage, spoilage, or obsolescence. · Enforce First-In-First-Out (FIFO) system for all materials. · Prepare reports on wastage and suggest corrective actions. · Supervise warehouse and store staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance. · Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational best practices. · Continuously review warehouse processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. · Maintain equipment and facility in good working condition. · Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, inventory transactions, and reconciliations. · Prepare reports for management review on inventory status, consumption trends, and wastage. · Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Required Skill Set: · Solid leadership and team management skills. · Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Excel. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
