Varaha is a climate-first company that develops and scales high-quality, verifiable carbon projects across India and other smallholder farming economies. To date, Varaha has reached over 100,000 smallholders across more than 1.1 million acres, improving livelihoods while advancing nature-based climate solutions.

Our work spans regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, biochar, and enhanced rock weathering, supported by in-house MRV systems that combine digital field data, geospatial analytics, remote sensing validation, and calibrated scientific models to quantify carbon removal. Founded in 2022, the company is on track to deliver over one million high-quality carbon credits in 2026.

Location - Anywhere in Telangana

Role Overview

Lead and scale Regenec’s carbon project portfolio across Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, driving end-to-end execution of Regenerative Agriculture projects from origination to credit issuance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own state-level pipeline development and execution of regenerative carbon projects

• Lead partnerships with government bodies, NGOs, and local stakeholders

• Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle (feasibility → PDD → validation → issuance)

• Ensure compliance with carbon standards (Verra VCS, VM0047)

• Provide technical oversight on carbon modelling, additionality, and baseline design

• Manage cross-functional teams (field, carbon) for timely delivery

• Drive validation, verification, and audit readiness with registries and auditors

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in regenerative carbon projects

• Strong expertise in AFOLU projects

• Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder, on-ground projects

• Working knowledge of carbon standards and methodologies (VCS, VM0047, etc.)

• Prior leadership experience managing teams and project delivery

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
