Location: Indore, MP (Regional travel required)

Job Overview

The organisation is expanding its footprint into large-scale solar infrastructure. We are seeking a high-caliber Business Development Manager to drive the acquisition and closure of projects ranging from 20 MW to 200 MW. This role is not about retail sales; it is about high-stakes infrastructure development. Candidate must have experience of handling annual turnover of 2 + crore and B-B sales

Key Responsibilities
  • Large-Scale Customer Acquisition: Identify and secure opportunities for Ground-Mounted Solar Parks, Open Access projects, and Captive Power Plants (CPP) in the 20–200 MW range.
  • Stakeholder Management: Present technical and financial feasibility reports to C-suite executives, institutional investors, and government bodies.
  • Ecosystem Networking: Coordinate with EPC partners, module suppliers, and structural consultants to ensure bid competitiveness.
  • Exposure of B-B handling

  • Specific Technical & Commercial Requirements
  • MW-Scale Expertise: Proven track record of involvement in at least one project exceeding 10 MW.
  • Evacuation Knowledge: Understanding of 33kV/132kV/220kV transmission lines and bay allocation processes.
  • Financial Modeling: Ability to interpret LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy), Equity IRR, and Project IRR for large-scale deployments.
  • Open Access: Deep knowledge of Inter-state and Intra-state Open Access regulations.

  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: B.Tech (Electrical/Civil) + MBA (Marketing/Finance/Power Management) preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of direct experience in Utility-Scale solar BD. Candidates with only rooftop experience will not be considered for this specific bracket.
  • Negotiation: Ability to manage long sales cycles (6–18 months) and close multi-crore contracts.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing solar radiation data (Meteonorm/NASA) and its impact on 100+ MW yield.
