Role Overview

We are looking for a Social Media Strategist who can think creatively, execute consistently, and take ownership of SkinBae’s social media presence end-to-end. This role is equal parts strategy, content execution, publishing, and performance tracking.

You will be responsible not just for ideas, but for seeing content through from concept to upload to performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities1. Social Media Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and manage the Instagram content calendar, ensuring consistency, relevance, and engagement
  • Plan, strategize, and execute organic social media campaigns aligned with SkinBae’s overall marketing objectives
  • Monitor social media trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices to keep content fresh, competitive, and platform-relevant
  • Ensure content aligns with SkinBae’s luxury positioning and brand tone at all times

  • 2. Video Content Ideation, Scripting & Execution
  • Lead the end-to-end video content creation process for:
  • Instagram Reels
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Other short-form and long-form video formats as required
  • Ideate, script, and direct videos, working closely with internal creators and teams to execute compelling visual content
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee execution of all video shoots, ensuring timelines, quality, and brand consistency
  • Review all video content before publishing and provide clear, constructive feedback to improve quality and performance

  • 3. Content Publishing & Platform Management
  • Upload, schedule, and publish content across:
  • Instagram (posts, reels, stories)
  • YouTube
  • Other relevant social media platforms as required
  • Ensure captions, hashtags, tags, thumbnails, and descriptions are optimised for reach and engagement
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency while uploading content, including links, CTAs, and brand references
  • Own the final responsibility for what goes live on SkinBae’s social platforms

  • 4. Content & Design Collaboration
  • Work closely with graphic designers to ensure:
  • Instagram posts
  • Carousels
  • Video creatives
  • align with SkinBae’s luxury brand aesthetic
  • Provide clear creative direction for visually compelling and engaging social media assets
  • Ensure seamless coordination between content, design, and publishing timelines

  • 5. Influencer & Affiliate Marketing
  • Identify, shortlist, and manage influencer collaborations to enhance brand awareness and engagement
  • Handle end-to-end influencer communication, from outreach to execution and follow-ups
  • Manage and support affiliate marketing efforts, ensuring smooth coordination and performance tracking

  • 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with the content writer to provide inputs for:
  • Emailers
  • Ad copies
  • Website content
  • Campaign messaging
  • Collaborate with external agencies for:
  • Paid campaigns
  • Influencer collaborations
  • Email marketing support (where applicable)
  • Align organic social media efforts with paid marketing strategies to maximise campaign effectiveness

  • 7. Customer Engagement & Support
  • Manage Instagram DMs and comments for key accounts, ensuring timely, brand-appropriate responses
  • Support customer communication via email and WhatsApp for social-media-related queries
  • Foster meaningful engagement and community-building through social platforms

  • 8. Performance Tracking & Analytics
  • Monitor social media performance using analytics tools
  • Track engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance
  • Share insights and data-backed recommendations to optimise future content strategy

  • 9. Team Leadership & Growth
  • Train and mentor junior content creators and coordinators
  • Provide structured guidance and feedback to improve:
  • Content ideation
  • Execution quality
  • Brand storytelling consistency
  • Continuously work on improving efficiency, quality, and scalability of social media operations

  • What We’re Looking For
  • 3-6 years of hands-on social media experience for a brand or agency
  • Proven experience managing Instagram end-to-end (planning, publishing, engagement, and performance tracking)
  • Strong understanding of short-form video formats (Reels, Shorts) and how hooks, retention, and structure impact performance
  • Ability to think strategically while executing consistently
  • Comfort taking responsibility for what goes live — including captions, links, tags, and brand alignment
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across content, design, influencer, and performance teams
  • Clear judgment around premium positioning vs mass content
  • Someone who prefers ownership over instruction
