Role Summary & Key Objectives

The Vice President – Technologies will define and drive the company’s technology vision, engineering strategy, and execution excellence across products and delivery platforms. This role owns technology roadmap alignment with business goals, scalable architecture, engineering productivity, security, and innovation. The primary objectives are to build future-ready platforms, enable predictable high-quality delivery, strengthen technology leadership depth, and ensure the organization remains competitive through modern engineering practices.

Core Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Architecture Ownership

Define long-term technology roadmap, platform strategy, and reference architectures across web, mobile, cloud, data, and enterprise systems.

Engineering Excellence & Delivery Governance

Establish engineering standards, coding practices, review mechanisms, and quality frameworks across teams.

Leadership & Org Building

Build and mentor senior engineering leaders (Architects, Engineering Managers, Tech Leads), define org structure, and succession planning.

Innovation & Modernization

Drive adoption of modern stacks, cloud-native architectures, Python, JS, AI/ML, DevSecOps, and platform automation.

Security, Reliability & Compliance

Own application security, infrastructure resilience, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.

Business Partnership & Pre-Sales Support

Collaborate with sales and delivery leaders on solutioning, large deals, technical proposals, and account growth.

Technology Operations & Financial Stewardship

Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, tooling investments, and ROI optimization.

Must-Have Skills (Technical & Soft)

Technical / Leadership Skills

Deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, and APIs.

Experience leading large engineering organizations across product and services environments.

Strong knowledge of Agile at scale (SAFe), DevOps, CI/CD, SRE, QA automation, and platform engineering.

Ability to evaluate and implement modern tech stacks and enterprise platforms.

Experience with technology due diligence, scalability planning, and risk management.

Soft Skills

Executive-level communication and stakeholder management.

Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline.

High ownership mindset and ability to drive cross-functional alignment.

Proven people leadership, coaching, and organizational design capability.

Strong decision-making under ambiguity.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience working with global clients and multi-geo teams.

Exposure to SaaS platforms, AI/ML systems, data engineering, or fintech/enterprise domains.

MBA or advanced management education.

Experience in M&A technical due diligence or platform integrations.

Certifications in cloud, security, or enterprise architecture.

Experience Requirements

15+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership.

Minimum 5+ years in senior leadership roles (Director/VP/CTO level).

Proven track record scaling engineering organizations (100+ engineers).

Experience driving architecture decisions for large-scale platforms or enterprise programs.

KPIs / Success Metrics

Platform Stability & Scalability: Uptime, performance benchmarks, incident reduction.

Engineering Productivity: Release velocity, cycle time, deployment frequency.

Technology Quality: Defect leakage, security vulnerabilities, technical debt reduction.

Business Enablement: Revenue supported through tech platforms, deal win-rate support.

Innovation Index: Adoption of new technologies, automation improvements, modernization progress.

People Metrics: Attrition, leadership bench strength, engagement scores.

Cost Efficiency: Infrastructure optimization, tooling ROI, budget adherence.
