We are looking for a strong, hands-on Learning and Development professional who has a deep understanding of how the L&D function operates in an IT services environment. This is not a desk-only or JD-driven role. The candidate must be capable of managing end-to-end L&D operations.

  • Role Summary

    The Senior Specialist – Learning and Development plays a key role in designing, delivering, and driving high-quality learning experiences across the organization. This role combines facilitation, instructional design, content creation, learning operations, and close partnership with internal stakeholders.

    The individual will lead training delivery in both virtual and in-person formats, develop learning assets, ensure learning effectiveness, and support business units with capability-building initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Facilitation, Content Creation and Design, Proctoring – 70 percent

    Training Delivery and Facilitation
  • Deliver high-impact training programs across technical, behavioural, functional, and onboarding modules.
  • Facilitate virtual and classroom sessions using adult learning principles and interactive methodologies.
  • Conduct assessments, case studies, and post-session evaluations.

  • Instructional Design and Content Development
  • Create learning content including presentations, facilitator guides, learner workbooks, scripts, and microlearning modules.
  • Convert business requirements into structured learning experiences.
  • Build e-learning content and storyboards aligned with organizational design standards.
  • Enhance existing learning materials to improve effectiveness and learner engagement.

  • L&D Asset Design
  • Design learning collaterals such as infographics, job aids, handouts, SOPs, playbooks, and video-based learning content.
  • Ensure content consistency, visual alignment, and brand compliance.

  • Training Proctoring and Assessment Management
  • Manage and proctor certification exams, assessments, and knowledge checks.
  • Ensure test integrity, process compliance, and documentation accuracy.
  • Publish proctoring reports and maintain certification logs.

  • Learning Partner Responsibilities – 20 percent
  • Collaborate closely with BU Heads, People Partners, and stakeholders to understand capability needs.
  • Translate business skill gaps into structured learning plans.
  • Provide consultation on learning strategies, training paths, and career development frameworks.
  • Support implementation of organizational learning initiatives such as leadership programs, academies, and certification drives.
  • Track learning impact, analyze performance data, and share insights with leadership.

  • L&D Coordination and Operations – 10 percent
  • Manage end-to-end logistics for training programs including scheduling, communication, attendance, feedback tracking, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with vendors, trainers, and external partners for program execution.
  • Maintain L&D dashboards, MIS reports, trackers, and learning repositories.
  • Ensure compliance with internal learning SOPs and audit requirements.

  • Required Skills and Competencies:

    Technical and Functional Skills
  • Strong facilitation and public speaking skills.
  • Expertise in instructional design and adult learning methodologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, LMS platforms, and content design tools such as Canva and Articulate.
  • Experience with virtual training platforms including Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
  • Understanding of assessment methods and certification frameworks.

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Education, Psychology, or an equivalent field.
  • 4–7+ years of experience in Learning and Development, instructional design, or facilitation.
  • Training or instructional design certifications are an added advantage.
