Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) is a New Delhi-based non-profit organisation with the vision of enhancing equitable student learning, especially language and literacy development, through professional development of teachers and teacher educators, building/sharing knowledge and implementing projects in collaboration with state governments. LLF is a system-focused and impact-driven organization dedicated to addressing the foundational learning crisis in collaboration with the national and state governments in India. Over the past 8 years, we have improved foundational learning outcomes of 850,000+ children and classroom processes of 2,50,000+ teachers and teacher educators across 8 states. The Manager/Senior Manager (Strategy and Learning) will work directly with the Executive Director and engage at a strategic level with all teams within LLF. The PM will need to design strategies and roadmaps for projects and teams and will be able to manage work across multiple areas. Receiving exposure to the founders, Board, and key stakeholders, the PM will need to manage the organization’s critical priorities and will also be able to support the process of business development. This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys being intellectually challenged and working in a fast-paced environment. The role will also serve as a coordination lead for key digital and IT initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities:

Organization Development:
  • Working with the Founder and Senior Leadership on the development of the strategic plan/framework for the organization, and the associated operating plan
  • Manage key organizational processes for executing LLF’s strategy (this includes strategic
  • reviews on a monthly and quarterly basis, board meeting, external meetings, etc.)
  • Supporting the founder by researching and synthesizing the latest findings or other relevant material that will help define or develop the different horizontals and verticals at LLF
  • Solving key strategic questions for the organization and helping the senior leadership build and develop LLF work areas.
  • Creating and maintaining cross collaboration and integration between horizontal and verticals to enable leadership success
  • Driving operational support and providing strategic inputs on high-profile projects

  • Business Development:
  • Supporting the FR team in building a business development plan with close coordination with the state program team by developing a plan for expansion to new geographies. This will include development of proposals with program teams, coordination with state agencies and fundraising team/donors.
  • Support the fundraising effort, including strategizing with the LLF US Charity and reporting to marquee donors

  • Digital & IT Initiatives (Non-Hardware):
  • Serve as the focal point for organisation-wide IT and digital initiatives (excluding hardware infrastructure).
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of technology projects by working closely with IT specialists, external agencies, and internal teams.
  • Facilitate data requirements, decision-making processes, and cross-functional alignment to ensure the successful execution of IT initiatives.
  • Track progress, identify risks, and support leadership in ensuring the timely delivery of digital projects aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Support the Executive Director and leadership team in evaluating and prioritising technology interventions that improve organisational effectiveness.
