A strong Java developer to program and design various software applications and modules for cloud platforms in accordance with agreed upon specifications created in partnership with business and product managers. Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases to design new and optimize existing databases. Designs and implements unit tests and integration tests ensuring software meets the agreed upon requirements. Contributes to the creation of robust, resilient and fault tolerant design of software applications. May lead the design of less complex components. Will provide technical support to operations or other development teams. Creates, reviews, and maintains all required user documentation/manuals related to assigned software to ensure supportability and reuse. Reviews work of peers and more junior developers. Provides wider feedback into performance of applications. Assists in identification and implementation of short-term and long-term solution options, including risk assessments. Assists with improvements to prevent problems, including problem resolution workflow. Participates in remediation solutions. Participates in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work. Provides work estimates for small software development tasks. Provides timely status updates for areas of individual responsibilities within projects to supervisor Actively participates in team and status meetings. Demonstrates software as requested and develops software using accepted software development processes, adhering to team/company standards and latest software standards and corporate policies. Knowledge & Skill : Experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of Software development in Java language and Database design and managemnt on cloud platforms like AWS. Provides and shares knowledge on the subject across sub-units Strong understanding of other roles within the functional group or Business Unit and how they are interconnected and functional. Experience in Agile methodologies is desirable. Adapts traditional approaches to solutions and should be capable of reusing them in different circumstances Shows proficiency in understanding complex software development skills, across a range of issues Scope of Impact : Leads routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements Provides recommendations to department objectives and goals of a sub-Business Unit or function Will provide cost optimized solutions with better performance that suites the requirements.
