Key responsibilities include:

1. Strategic responsibilities

- Execute vendor management strategies aligned with organizational procurement, quality, cost, and compliance objectives.
- Build a robust and compliant vendor ecosystem for direct and indirect procurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Quality, Legal, Finance, Operations, ESG/Compliance) to strengthen supplier governance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors focusing on cost optimization, quality enhancement, delivery reliability, and sustainability.
- Maintaining relationships with vendors, including negotiating contracts and reviewing contracts for legal compliance.

2. Functional responsibilities

- Conduct vendor auditing and assessment, including capability evaluation, financial stability checks, and risk profiling.
- Perform vendor interviews and factory/site visits to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, quality systems, and compliance.
- Ensure vendor compliance with statutory, regulatory, ethical, ESG, and company-specific requirements.
- Coordinate and manage legal agreements, including NDAs, supplier contracts, and commercial terms, in collaboration with Legal and Finance teams.
- Lead supplier sourcing and development for direct and indirect materials, components, and services.
- Maintain and periodically update the approved vendor list (AVL) and supplier master data.
- Monitor vendor performance through KPIs such as quality, cost, delivery, service, and compliance.
- Resolve vendor-related issues including quality deviations, delivery delays, and compliance gaps.
- Maintain complete documentation related to audits, assessments, contracts, and compliance records.

To qualify for the role, you must have –

1. Any Graduate with Minimum 3-5 years of Experience in Purchase, Strategic Sourcing, or Vendor Management.

2. Hands-on experience in vendor auditing, assessment, and factory/site evaluation

3. Strong understanding of direct and indirect procurement processes.

4. Working knowledge of supplier compliance, quality systems, and statutory requirements.

5. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SRM systems.

6. Willingness to travel for vendor audits and factory visits.

- Certification in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Quality (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, Six Sigma).
- Experience in cost-reduction projects and value engineering initiatives.
- Familiarity with digital procurement tools, supplier portals, or audit management systems.
- Prior experience in regulated or compliance-intensive industries.
