For a specific data intelligence company in the UK, we are seeking Senior Copy Editors with experience in working for wire agencies or financial dailies. Our client is a data intelligence company tracking and analysing global data for finance and insurance sectors.

Our fantastic, skilled, energetic Insurance research and analysis team focuses on researching, analysing, and reporting on the many existing and emerging risks, regulations and changes that impact the global insurance industry.

The requirement

Our client’s research, intelligence and commentary on insurance markets worldwide gives clients a competitive advantage allowing them to pro-actively lead their business while staying aligned with the constantly evolving world of insurance regulation and tax compliance.

Copy Editors play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity and consistency of our client’s content. Working closely with our Content Producers, Copy Editors ensure that all published content meets our high editorial, analytical and stylistic standards.

Responsibilities

Fact Checking

· Verify the accuracy of content, including cross-checking data, sources and statistics.

· Ensure all factual statements reflect the most up‑to‑date and reliable information available.

Editorial

· Edit content to ensure clarity, coherence and readability throughout.

· Improve sentence structure, flow and narrative.

· Reorganise or restructure content where necessary to enhance understanding and alignment with our editorial standards.

· Work collaboratively with content producers to address unclear sections, resolve inconsistencies or refine insights.

Validation

· Ensure content contains no contradictions in data, narrative or interpretation.

· Cross‑reference content between client’s products to verify consistency.

Presentation

· Ensure that guidelines and content scope has been adhered to.

· Confirm that formatting and structure follow our standards.

Grammar & Style

· Verify that content is written in line with the in-house Style Guide, maintaining consistency of tone, terminology and structure.

Essential & Desirable Qualities

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing written materials

· Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify inconsistencies and errors

· Excellent written English, including grammar, structure and clarity

· Ability to interpret and cross‑reference technical material, data and market information

· Good communication and collaboration skills

· Experience in fact-checking, proofreading, compliance reviewing or editorial work (desirable)

· Familiarity with insurance markets or financial services terminology (desirable)

Other requirements

· Graduate or Post-graduate in any degree related to finance, insurance, banking or journalism

· Experience in working and understanding of non-life insurance with a minimum of 3-8+ years

· Good communication- verbal and experience in writing preferably for news agencies

· Should be able to work on UK Shifts from India

· Ability to write and format data visualise will be useful

· Experience working with a news agency or a financial/business daily will be preferred
