Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager for an on-site full-time (40 hours per week) position in Charlotte, NC, USA. Our client is a non-profit agency that provides training to help people with disabilities develop and maintain independent living skills.

You'll serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and a remote software development organization. The role owns discovery and requirements definition, translates current-state business workflows into detailed documentation, and leads delivery execution to ensure the engineering team builds the right solution with clarity, speed, and quality.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience managing software development projects and software delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a software development team that is entirely remote, including nearshore and/or offshore team members.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, including the ability to lead frequent discussions with business stakeholders and internal team leaders to understand business workflows and operating processes.
  • Strong expertise in documentation with a track record of capturing complex workflow conversations and producing detailed, clear handoff documentation suitable for engineering implementation.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to drive meetings to outcomes, manage competing priorities, and reduce ambiguity through structured thinking and follow-through.

  • NICE TO HAVE
  • PMI certification or something similar from a project management perspective.
  • Experience working in environments with sensitive data, confidentiality constraints, or regulated business processes.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery (Scrum or Kanban), backlog management, and practical requirements decomposition.
  • Experience creating process maps and workflow diagrams using standard tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, FigJam, or similar).
  • Familiarity with standard delivery tooling such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar platforms.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead stakeholder interviews, working sessions, and process walkthroughs to deeply understand how work is performed today, why it is performed that way, and what constraints exist.
  • Capture and document current-state and future-state business workflows in clear, detailed, and implementation-ready formats for engineering handoff.
  • Produce high-quality project artifacts such as business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow diagrams, process narratives, and decision logs.
  • Own the project plan and execution cadence, including scope control, milestone planning, dependency tracking, RAID management (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and status reporting.
  • Partner with business leaders to define priorities, clarify scope boundaries, and drive timely decisions when trade-offs are required.
  • Manage and coordinate a fully remote software development team, including nearshore and/or offshore resources, ensuring alignment, accountability, and delivery predictability.
  • Translate business intent into practical delivery increments, ensuring requirements are unambiguous and testable, and that stakeholder expectations match delivery reality.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily coordination touchpoints, demos, UAT readiness, and release planning as needed.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation discipline so that engineering and QA teams can build and validate features with minimal rework and minimal ambiguity.
  • Ensure stakeholder communication is continuous, professional, and precise, with clear written follow-ups that document outcomes, decisions, and next steps.

  • WE OFFER
  • US and EU projects based on advanced technologies.
  • Competitive compensation based on skills and experience.
  • Flexibility in workspace, either remote or our welcoming office.
  • Bonuses for article writing, public talks, and other activities.
  • Free tech webinars and meetups organized by Svitla.
  • Regular corporate online activities.
  • Awesome team, friendly and supportive community!
