SEND Tutor – Multiple Roles

📍 Locations: Bournemouth & Dorchester

💰 Salary: £29,700 – £32,700 per year

SWRAC is looking for passionate SEND Tutors to support young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities to develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to thrive in education, employment and everyday life.

In this role you will deliver engaging learning programmes, support learners with additional needs, and help them build independence, resilience and positive relationships. You’ll work closely with a supportive team to create meaningful learning experiences that prepare learners for adulthood and the world beyond the classroom.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging sessions including wellbeing awareness

  • Supporting learners with SEND and behavioural needs in a range of settings

  • Preparing course materials and maintaining learner documentation

  • Monitoring Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and learner progress

  • Encouraging independence, confidence and self-help skills

  • Promoting SWRAC’s work through networking and community engagement

  • We’re looking for someone who:

    ✔ Holds a recognised teaching qualification

    ✔ Has Level 2 Maths & English (GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent)

    ✔ Has experience working with young adults with SEND or behavioural needs

    ✔ Is a strong communicator, organised and adaptable

    ✔ Is passionate about empowering vulnerable young people

    SEND or behaviour specialist qualifications are desirable.
