Job Requirements

Main duties
  • Support our mission to continuously improve by leading empirical process control – transparency, inspection, and adaptation
  • Work with teams, Stakeholders, other Scrum Masters and leaders to foster a culture that supports respect, focus, courage, openness, and commitment
  • Define and lead an agile vision and strategy that improves as our company advances in our agile understanding.
  • Serve the organisation and product management to better achieve their goals by applying empirical process control.

  • Service To Team
  • Coach the team in self-management and cross-functionality
  • Coach and mentor other employees and business leaders in supporting team self-organisation
  • Causing the removal of impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress
  • Coach and mentor the team in other squads and business activities that enhances self-organisation
  • Ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
  • Help the team establish practices that enhance quality, lowers technical debt and increases product value

  • Service to Product Owners
  • Ensure the goals, scope and product domain are understood by everyone on the team
  • Helping find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management
  • Help the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog Items
  • Helping establish empirical product planning for a complex environment
  • Guide the product owner on arranging their Product Backlog to maximise value
  • Facilitating stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed
  • Coach the Product Owner on understanding and practicing agility
  • Help the Scrum Team establish a strong focus on the Product Goal, Sprint Goals and the Definition of Done

  • Service to organisation
  • Leading, training, and coaching the organization in its Scrum adoption
  • Raising awareness of impediments, then facilitate the removal in our mission to continually improve
  • Facilitate events as requested
  • Leading and coaching the organisation in its Scrum and agile adoption
  • Planning and advising Scrum implementations within the organization
  • Helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work
  • Initiating change through empiricism that fosters a continuous support environment
  • Work with other organisation leaders to create an environment the increases productivity, product value and quality by facilitating the removal of impediments
  • Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of Scrum throughout the organisation
  • Removing barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams

  • Strong facilitation skills to opening hard conversations, guiding thorough inspection and exploring options to change
  • Demonstrate skills by having been in a Scrum Master role
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of working in the Software Development Industry (both good and bad) so you can relate to people.
  • Good knowledge of Lean Software Development, Kanban, eXtreme Programming.
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Qualifications
  • Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II)
  • Coaching credential (ICF)

  • Ensuring the removal of impediments through successful facilitation
  • Successfully helping the team deliver at least one retrospective action every sprint that supports continuous improvement
