Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. Summary

A professional and detail-oriented personnel to execute strategic sourcing and procurement operations for spare parts and service of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role involves spare parts sourcing, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and risk mitigation, ensuring to meet company’s operational and financial goals.

Key Deliverables / Responsibilities

Supplier-Chain Establishment:
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to establish supplier chain database, meeting technical and quality requirements for spare parts of front-end semiconductor equipment.

  • Supplier Evaluation and Management:
  • Conduct technical audits of potential spares suppliers, evaluating their manufacturing capabilities, quality control processes, and after-sales support.
  • Build and maintain a network of reliable spares suppliers with a focus on continuously technical innovation, cost reduction, and long-term partnerships.
  • Maintaining documentation such as BOMs, drawings, specifications, and usage history.
  • Managing the lifecycle of parts, including obsolescence planning, phase-in/phase-out, and refurbishment programs.

  • Cost Management and Optimization:
  • Continuously identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while ensuring the supply of high-quality materials.
  • Conduct cost analysis and benchmark to ensure competitive pricing and overall value of spares.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Act as the person of contact and internal advocate, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of delivery schedule, support functions, and communications across all relevant organizational functions (e.g., Product, Service Delivery, Technical, Finance) to meet internal client needs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. fab module, logistic, legal, financial team) to review spares performance and align sourcing decisions meeting production needs, budgetary goals, and financial forecasts.

  • Skills & Expertise
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Excellent project management skills to execute multiple sourcing and qualification projects.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as SEMI and ISO, as well as regulatory requirements related to semiconductor equipment.

  • Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor or master degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM) is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with a focus on equipment sourcing and procurement.
