1. Overview:

The SAP Consolidated Accounting System Operation and Maintenance specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and optimization of our company's SAP-based consolidated accounting system. This role ensures the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of the financial reporting process, supporting timely and accurate financial statement preparation. The objective is to maintain a stable, secure, and high-performing SAP environment for all consolidated accounting activities.


2. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the performance of the SAP consolidated accounting system, identifying and resolving issues proactively.

  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including backups, security updates, and performance tuning.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including process flows, configuration details, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Provide technical support to users of the SAP consolidated accounting system, resolving issues and answering questions.

  • Participate in the implementation of new SAP functionalities and upgrades related to consolidated accounting.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new reports and interfaces within the SAP system to meet evolving business requirements.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the SAP system, implementing and maintaining appropriate controls.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to understand and address their reporting needs, translating business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Participate in system testing and validation activities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the system.

  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the SAP consolidated accounting system.

3. Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, specifically in the context of consolidated accounting.

  • Expertise in SAP General Ledger (GL) configuration and operations.

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP ABAP programming for debugging, report development and customization.

  • Experience with SAP HANA database administration and performance optimization.

  • Proficiency in using SAP Fiori user interface.

  • Experience with data migration and integration processes within SAP.

  • Understanding of SAP security concepts and best practices.

  • Experience with reporting tools within SAP (e.g., BW, Analytics Cloud).


4. Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP system administration and support, with a focus on consolidated accounting processes.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.

  • Experience in a large multinational company is a plus.


5. Skills & Experience:

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Experience with AP processes within SAP and their integration with consolidated accounting is highly desirable.

  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Experience with AR processes within SAP and their integration with consolidated accounting is highly desirable.

  • SAP ABAP: Proven ability to develop and maintain custom ABAP code for reporting and system enhancements.

  • SAP Financials: Extensive knowledge of the SAP Financials suite and its applications in a consolidated accounting environment.

  • SAP FICO: Comprehensive understanding of SAP FI-CO module configuration, particularly relating to intercompany accounting, and consolidation processes.

  • SAP HANA: Experience with SAP HANA database administration, performance monitoring, and optimization.

  • SAP Fiori: Experience using and customizing SAP Fiori applications for consolidated accounting.

  • SAP GL: Deep understanding of SAP General Ledger configuration and reconciliation processes.
