We are looking for a results-driven, technically sharp Sales Manager to own and grow our Northern India territory — someone who thinks like an engineer, acts like a hunter, and closes like a champion.

The Role

As Sales Manager – Northern Region, you will be the face of SDT in one of India's most industrially dense territories. You will own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and technical presentations to closing and account management — across industries including power, refining, steel, cement, chemicals, and automotive.

This is a high-autonomy, high-accountability role built for someone who thrives in the field, understands industrial reliability pain points, and can articulate the ROI of ultrasound technology with conviction.

Key Responsibilities

▸ Own and deliver the regional revenue target; develop and execute quarterly and annual territory sales plans

▸ Identify, prospect, and develop new accounts across manufacturing, power generation, oil & gas, and process industries in Northern India

▸ Conduct technical demonstrations, plant walk-throughs, and application-specific value presentations for reliability engineers, maintenance heads, and plant managers

▸ Position SDT's ultrasound technology (bearing monitoring, lubrication optimization, leak detection, partial discharge, valve testing) against competitor offerings with technical fluency

▸ Manage the complete sales pipeline via CRM — from lead generation and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close

▸ Collaborate with the applications and service teams to ensure seamless post-sales delivery and customer satisfaction

▸ Represent SDT at industry conferences, trade exhibitions, and technical seminars in the region

▸ Provide market intelligence: competitor activity, pricing trends, new account opportunities, and voice-of-customer feedback

▸ Build long-term strategic partnerships with key accounts to drive repeat business and referrals

▸ Mentor and coordinate with channel partners and distributors where applicable

What We're Looking For

Mandatory Qualifications:

▸ B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline (minimum qualification)

▸ 5–10 years of B2B technical sales experience, with a proven track record in capital equipment or industrial solutions

▸ Strong background in condition monitoring, predictive maintenance (PdM), or reliability engineering — this is non-negotiable

▸ Hands-on understanding of at least one PdM technology: ultrasound, vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, or motor current analysis

▸ Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-suite, plant heads, and technical decision-makers

▸ Existing network across Northern India's industrial corridors (Delhi NCR, Noida, Ludhiana, Panipat, Rudrapur, Jaipur, Haridwar)

▸ Must be based out of Norther Region (Noida/Gurgaon/Faridabad/Ghaziabad/Delhi)

Preferred / Bonus:

▸ Certifications in Vibration Analysis (Cat I/II), Ultrasound Level I/II, or thermography

▸ Experience selling to PSUs: NTPC, ONGC, BHEL, GAIL, IOC, or large private groups like Tata, Adani, or Vedanta

▸ Familiarity with ISO 29821 (Ultrasound Condition Monitoring) or ISO 22096

▸ MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Management — advantageous but not required
