Sales Staff – Job Responsibilities (Dress Shop)

1. Customer Service

• Welcome customers warmly as they enter the store.
• Assist customers in selecting dresses based on their preferences, size, and occasion.
• Provide information about new arrivals, offers, and promotions.
• Ensure customers have a pleasant shopping experience.

2. Product Knowledge

• Learn details about the store’s clothing collections, sizes, fabrics, and pricing.
• Recommend outfits, combinations, and accessories to customers.
• Stay updated on latest fashion trends and store inventory.

3. Sales & Billing Support

• Encourage customers to purchase products through suggestive selling.
• Help with billing and POS system operations if required.
• Handle cash/card payments accurately.

4. Store Maintenance

• Keep the store clean, organized, and visually attractive.
• Arrange dresses neatly on racks and mannequins.
• Ensure fitting rooms are clean and ready for customers.

5. Inventory Assistance

• Help in stock checking and stock replenishment.
• Inform the supervisor about low stock or damaged items.
• Assist during new stock arrivals and displays.

6. Customer Feedback Handling

• Handle customer complaints politely.
• Escalate issues to the store manager when necessary.

7. Team Coordination

• Work closely with other sales staff and store manager.
• Help achieve daily and monthly sales targets.

Additional Skills Usually Required

• Good communication (Malayalam / English / Hindi helpful)
• Friendly and presentable personality
• Basic sales and customer handling skills
• Ability to stand and assist customers for long periods
