Job Summary: We are seeking an Assistant Retail Merchandiser to assist and manage the product assortment and inventory planning, for our multi-designer fashion store. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fashion trends, sales analytics, and vendor coordination to ensure optimal stock levels, attractive displays, and maximum profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Relations:
  • Liaise with stores and senior merchandiser team to ensure timely product deliveries and exclusivity (if required).
  • Effective client servicing.

  • Inventory & Assortment Planning:
  • Analyze sales data to determine fast-moving vs. slow-moving products and adjust inventory accordingly.
  • Plan and execute seasonal sales strategies in collaboration with Sr merchandiser and Stores.
  • Ensure a balanced mix of styles, price points, and merchandise at the store to cater to customer preferences.
  • Forecast demand and prevent overstocking or stockouts.

  • Sales & Performance Optimization:
  • Monitor sales performance and suggest markdowns/promotions for slow-moving inventory.
  • Work with the store sales team on product knowledge and upselling techniques.

  • Reporting & Analytics:
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports on sales, stock turnover, and profitability.
  • Use data insights to recommend pricing strategies and product placements.

  • Qualifications & Skills:
  • 1 year in retail merchandising, buying, or inventory management (preferably in multi-designer fashion/luxury retail).
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, fabrics, and designer wear markets.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Pivots, ERP.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per hour
