Job Summary:

The Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring garments meet quality standards by conducting inspections, monitoring production processes, and evaluating materials. They collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve quality issues, maintain accurate documentation, and support vendor development. Additionally, they liaise with testing labs and escalate critical issues to management when necessary, ensuring compliance with buyer specifications and enhancing overall product quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-line, mid-line, and final inspections of garments at vendor/factory locations.
  • Ensure compliance with buyer specifications, approved samples, and quality standards.
  • Monitor production processes and highlight quality concerns to vendors and internal teams proactively.
  • Maintain inspection reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow up on corrective actions with vendors and ensure implementation of quality improvements.
  • Evaluate fabric and trims quality before production.
  • Work closely with the merchandising team to resolve any product or production issues.
  • Liaise with testing labs for garment/fabric testing when required.
  • Support vendor development by providing feedback and training on quality standards and buyer requirements.
  • Escalate critical quality issues to QA Head or Management with timely reporting.
