Position Overview:

At Sun360, we are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Engineer to ensure solar EPC projects are executed as per approved quality standards and technical specifications. The role involves inspecting materials, monitoring installation activities, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring compliance during the installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems.

The QC Engineer will work closely with project and site teams to maintain high-quality installation practices and support the successful delivery of solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Inspection & Monitoring
  • Conduct regular quality inspections of solar PV installation activities including module mounting structures, module installation, cabling, earthing, and inverter installation.
  • Ensure all work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Verify material quality at site and ensure compliance with project specifications.

  • 2. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, checklists, and test reports.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QC reports.
  • Document non-conformities and follow up for corrective and preventive actions.

  • 3. Testing & Commissioning Support
  • Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of solar PV systems.
  • Verify testing procedures such as continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and earthing tests.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all testing activities

  • 4. Material Inspection
  • Inspect incoming materials such as solar modules, inverters, cables, mounting structures, and other equipment.
  • Ensure materials meet approved technical specifications before installation.

  • 5. Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, safety norms, and project specifications.
  • Verify installation practices follow industry standards and company quality guidelines.

  • 6. Coordination
  • Coordinate with project engineers, site engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues.
  • Provide guidance to site teams on quality requirements and best practices.

  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in solar EPC projects, preferably in quality control or site engineering.
  • Experience with QA/QC documentation and checklists.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and documentation.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing methods and tools.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and single line diagrams (SLD).
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
