Job summary

As a Quality Assurance Engineer in JP Morgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you help ensure our applications function as intended and meet customer needs. You collaborate with developers, managers, and business partners, leveraging your testing expertise to automate and improve quality processes.

Job responsibilities

- Automate test capabilities and design test and maintenance procedures for applications
- Utilize existing test frameworks to address specific testing challenges
- Collaborate with developers, managers, and business partners to ensure quality standards
- Write and maintain automated tests using modern technologies and frameworks
- Analyze defects and manage data using common tools to drive continuous improvement
- Apply advanced knowledge of software lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile, to testing strategies
- Contribute to a team culture of mentorship, coaching, and professional growth

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Proven ability to write automated tests and proficiency in test automation frameworks (Karate, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar)
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced knowledge of software lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile, and test automation strategies
- Experience with REST API automation and Spring Boot applications
- Solid SQL skills for database validation, including joins, aggregations, window functions, and subqueries

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

- Exposure to cloud technologies and their integration with REST API and Spring Boot applications
- Experience with Kubernetes platform for container orchestration
- Performance and load testing with tools like JMeter, Gatling, or Locust
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Spinnaker)
