JOB DESCRIPTION

The QI Analyst will contribute to building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks using Tosca. This role requires hands-on automation skills, strong understanding of test design principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with the QI Lead and cross-functional teams from offshore. The Analyst will participate in requirement analysis, test case creation, automation development, execution, defect triaging, and reporting. The role emphasizes reusability, stability, and adherence to established quality engineering standards.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

Automation Development & Execution

Develop and maintain automated test cases in Tosca based on functional and technical requirements.

Create and maintain Modules, TestCase Design (TCD) templates, and Test Data Services (TDS) assets.

Execute automated suites as part of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitLab).

Participate in triage of automation failures; perform root cause analysis and update scripts/modules as needed.

Test Planning & Analysis

Work with the QI Lead to understand automation scope, priorities, and sprint goals.

Analyze user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical designs to identify valid test scenarios.

Prepare test data, identify dependencies, and perform environment readiness checks.

Quality Governance & Review

Adhere to framework standards, naming conventions, and reusability practices defined by the QI Lead.

Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with quality engineering guidelines.

Maintain documentation for automated test cases, execution reports, and defect logs.

Collaboration & Reporting

Provide timely updates on automation progress, blockers, and execution results to the QI Lead.

Collaborate with developers, manual testers, and DevOps engineers for issue resolution.

Support regression runs, smoke validations, and release readiness activities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

2–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering/Automation Testing.

Hands-on experience with Tosca (Modules, TestCases, TCD, TDS).

Good understanding of test design techniques, functional testing, and regression testing.

Familiarity with API testing using Tosca API Scan.

Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and execution within tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.

Strong analytical and debugging skills to identify root causes of failures.

Ability to work independently under the guidance of a QI Lead.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-Have

Tosca certifications (Automation Specialist Level 1 & 2).

Exposure to SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, or other enterprise platforms.

Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.

Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.

Experience with version control (Git).
