Job Title: QA Engineer (API Testing)
Experience: 2–4 Years

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Engineer with API testing experience to test backend services and ensure application quality. The candidate should have hands-on experience in manual testing along with validating REST APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual functional, regression, and integration testing
• Validate RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured
• Verify API responses (JSON/XML), status codes, and authentication
• Create and execute test cases and test scenarios
• Log and track defects using JIRA
• Work closely with developers and product teams in Agile environments

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of manual testing concepts
• Experience with API testing using Postman / Swagger
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON
• Basic SQL knowledge

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of Automation Testing using Selenium or Playwright
• Familiarity with Java or JavaScript/Typescript programming language
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
• Understanding of test automation frameworks
• Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Knowledge of Git version control
