We are looking for a Production Planner & Sourcing Head to join our team at Shreeji Garments.

At Shreeji, we are 90% knit based and are looking for an excellent addition to our product development team! We want a core team member to act as a liaison between our designers, buyers and tech heads to deliver the right fabric at the right time!

Job Title: Production Planner & Sourcing Head (Garment

Manufacturing)

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Management, Supply Chain, or related field is a must.

Experience: 6–10 years of experience in garment manufacturing, production planning, or sourcing. Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment production workflows

Salary: As per market terms. Negotiable based on experience.

Location: PS Srijan Corporate Park, Premises No Block GP, Plot – 2, Sector-V, Saltlake, Kolkata - 700091 (Corporate Office)

Job responsibilities for Production Planner & Sourcing Head:

Production Planning

• Develop and manage production schedules based on order quantities, style requirements,

and delivery deadlines.

• Coordinate with merchandising, cutting, stitching, finishing, and quality teams to ensure

smooth workflow.


• Monitor production progress across departments and resolve delays or bottlenecks.
• Ensure optimal utilization of factory capacity, manpower, and machinery.
• Track order status and ensure on-time shipment commitments to clients.

Fabric & Trim Sourcing


• Source fabrics, trims, and accessories such as buttons, zippers, labels, threads, and

packaging materials.

• Identify and develop reliable suppliers for fabrics and garment accessories.
• Negotiate prices, minimum order quantities, lead times, and payment terms with vendors.
• Ensure materials meet required quality standards and production specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials aligned with production

schedules.

Vendor & Cost Management


• Maintain strong relationships with fabric mills, trim suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and vendor negotiation.

Inventory & Material Planning


• Plan fabric and trim requirements based on production forecasts and order confirmations.
• Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams for proper material tracking and usage.

Cross-Functional Coordination


• Work closely with merchandising, design, and quality control teams.
• Ensure all materials are approved and available before production starts.
• Communicate production timelines and sourcing updates to management.
