Role Summary

Shwet requires a highly qualified Production & Merchandising Consultant to streamline manufacturing operations, optimize product development, and maximize profitability. This role mandates deep expertise in traditional Chikankari craftsmanship paired with modern apparel production and merchandising strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Market-Driven Product Development: Lead the development of Chikankari apparel and handicraft accessories, ensuring new collections align with current market trends and consumer demands.

Production & Timeline Management: Oversee the entire production lifecycle. Establish, monitor, and enforce strict production timelines to guarantee on-time delivery from artisans to final packaging.

Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality control protocols. Ensure all finished garments and accessories meet high-standard quality metrics consistent with the Shwet brand.

Process Optimization & Tracking: Develop and deploy comprehensive operational documents, workflow trackers, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accelerate production cycles and improve team efficiency.

Cost & Pricing Strategy: Monitor end-to-end production costs. Conduct margin analysis and align pricing strategies to maintain business profitability without compromising material or artisanal quality.

Vendor & Artisan Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between the brand and local artisans, ensuring clear communication regarding design specifications, quality expectations, and deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

Proven experience as a Production Manager, Merchandiser, or Consultant within the apparel and handicraft industry.

In-depth knowledge of Chikankari embroidery techniques, fabrics, and the local artisan ecosystem in Lucknow.

Strong analytical skills regarding costing, fabric consumption, and pricing alignment.

Proficiency in creating production tracking documents and inventory management systems.

Excellent problem-solving abilities to resolve production bottlenecks.
