Role Overview

Times Network is looking for a Product Manager – AI & Platforms who can work at the intersection of product thinking, AI capabilities, and technical execution.

This role goes beyond traditional product management. We are looking for someone who can translate ideas and requirements into working AI-driven prototypes, experiment with modern AI tools, and collaborate deeply with engineering teams to bring these capabilities into production products.

You will work closely with senior product and engineering leadership to build scalable digital platforms, internal tools, and AI-powered product experiences used across the Times Network ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in ambiguous problem spaces, understands AI product capabilities such as LLMs and APIs, and can move quickly from problem → prototype → product execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Own product requirements and execution for assigned platforms, tools, or AI-powered product initiatives.
• Translate business, operational, and user needs into clear product specifications and functional prototypes.
• Use modern AI tools, UI prototyping tools, or low-code frameworks to quickly validate product ideas before engineering development.
• Work closely with engineering teams on system architecture, APIs, data flows, and AI model integrations.
• Define product scope, priorities, and success metrics aligned with business and platform goals.
• Drive product decisions with clear reasoning, including trade-offs between scalability, cost, performance, and user experience.
• Collaborate with design, data, editorial, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
• Anticipate edge cases, technical dependencies, and risks early in the product lifecycle.
• Ensure products are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with long-term platform strategy.

AI Product & Prototyping Expectations

This role requires a hands-on approach to AI-enabled product development.

The candidate should be able to:

• Translate product requirements into AI-powered prototypes or functional demos.
• Experiment with Large Language Models (LLMs) for real-world product use cases.
• Build quick validation prototypes using AI APIs, UI builders, or rapid prototyping tools.
• Understand AI product architecture, including model APIs, embeddings, vector databases, and inference workflows.
• Work with engineering teams to take AI prototypes into scalable production systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in technical, platform, or data-driven products.
• Strong experience working closely with engineering teams on backend systems and APIs.
• Solid understanding of APIs, backend services, data models, and system architecture concepts.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and practical AI use cases in products.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and convert them into clear product execution plans.
• Experience integrating APIs or third-party services into prototypes or production products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and execution focus.

Preferred Experience

• Experience building internal tools, analytics platforms, or automation systems.
• Exposure to media, Fintech, content platforms, Analytics, or large-scale consumer products.
• Experience experimenting with AI-powered features, automation tools, or data-heavy systems.
• Familiarity with AI prototyping tools, low-code tools, or rapid product experimentation workflows.
