About the role: We are looking for a candidate to join the Environment, Health and Safety department as a Process Safety Specialist. An incumbent would be responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining the site’s Process Safety Management (PSM) program, ensuring that all processes involving hazardous materials or energy are designed, operated, and maintained safely. The role provides technical leadership, risk assessment expertise, and governance to prevent loss‑of‑containment events, fires, explosions, and other process-related incidents. Role Responsibilities: Lead and govern the site’s Process Safety Management (PSM) program, ensuring alignment with corporate EHS and regulatory requirements. Own and manage the Process Safety training curriculum to build competencies across Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams. Develop and maintain process safety procedures, standards, safe operating limits, and hazard control guidelines. Conduct or facilitate PHAs using HAZOP, What‑If, FMEA, LOPA, and Bowtie methodologies. Ensure comprehensive risk assessments for new processes, modifications, and abnormal operations. Define and validate basis of safety for processes involving hazardous materials, including SIF/SIL development per IEC Ensure compliance with internal and external process safety regulations such as PSM, COMAH/Seveso, ATEX, and DSEAR Drive operational excellence through GEMBA walks, KPI monitoring, incident analysis, and continuous improvement actions. Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to embed process safety into design, operations, and equipment integrity. Provide expert support during audits, regulatory inspections, and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging process safety standards. Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety/ engineering, or a related field. 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing industry NEBOSH IGC Why Haleon?
