Role Overview:
As an Accountant intern at ZeTheta Algorithms Private Limited, you will work on practical projects involving financial accounting, financial analysis, and compliance reporting. You will have the opportunity to engage in multiple mini-projects or take up a focused accounting research project. The project experience is designed to provide practical exposure to accounting in the context of asset management, trading, and financial technology. You will be provided with problem statements, methodology, and sample solutions to develop accounting solutions/models. Additionally, you can opt for your own research-based accounting solution to develop/model.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for financial entities.
- Assist in bookkeeping, journal entries, ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation.
- Support financial reporting and regulatory compliance for investment firms and trading entities.
- Conduct cost analysis, budget preparation, and variance analysis for portfolio management operations.
- Apply accounting principles to financial problems such as fair value accounting, derivative accounting, and investment valuations.
- Work with financial data including company reports, transaction records, and regulatory filings.
- Use Excel and accounting software to prepare, analyze, and present financial information.
- Participate in projects related to financial statement analysis, audit preparation, taxation, and financial compliance.

Qualifications Required:
- Any student with basic knowledge of accounting principles (or willingness to learn).
- Foundation in financial accounting, corporate accounting, or cost accounting is helpful.
- Able to self-learn and work independently in a remote, flexible environment. Role Overview:
