Role Overview:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile DR Engineer Powertrai n xHEV Systems to lead the design, development, and release of critical powertrain components and subsystems across ICE, hybrid, and electric vehicle platforms
  • This includes fuel systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, air intake systems and ePT EDU and Battery system and components
  • The role demands strong technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and full lifecycle ownership from concept to production

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design DevelopmentLead the design and release of:- Fuel systems, evaporative systems, urea systems, Cooling system, Air intake, EDU and Battery systemConduct system-level packaging studies, feasibility ana lysis, and concept development
  • Ensure compliance with GDT, DFM/DFA/DFS principles, and internal/external design standards
  • Per form bolted joint analysis, tolerance stack-up studies, and material selection
  • Engineering Delivery
  • Own engineering release proce sses ensuring specifications, cost, weight, and quality targets are met
  • Coordinate with CAE teams to implement simulation outputs into design
  • Maintain and update BOMs, RFQs, ESOWs, and build concern reports (BCRs)
  • Support virtual, prototype, and productio n builds (VP, TT, PP, etc
  • Validation ComplianceDevelop and execute DVP/PVP plans for part and vehicle-level validation
  • En sure DFMEA requirements are captured and cascaded to suppliers
  • Drive homologation and regulatory compliance for all components
  • Supplier Program ManagementLead supplier onboarding and technical reviews with purchasing and supplier panels
  • Conduct APQP/P PAP reviews and ensure readiness for builds
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers for proto and production support
  • Man age engineering schedules, tooling lead times, and part quality maturation
  • Leadership CollaborationProvide technical leadershi p to design engineers and cross-functional teams
  • Act as the primary contact for day-to-day engineering matters
  • Mentor junior e ngineers and ensure alignment with vehicle specification targets
  • Communicate progress and escalate critical issues as needed
  • Support cross-functional issue resolution at launch locations

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical , Automotive, Production, or related engineering field
  • 4+ years of experience in powertrain systems engineering (fuel, cooling, e xhaust, air intake)
  • Strong understanding of vehicle development, lifecycle and gateway reviews
  • Proficiency in CAD tools, GDT, DFM/DFA, and engineering release systems
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, CAE/FEA tools, and materials engineering
  • Preferred Skills:Exposure to ICE, hybrid, and EV platforms, Battery and EDU componentsKnowledge of blow molding, HEX module assembly, af ter-treatment systems, and air induction technologies
  • Experience in supplier engagement, tooling, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure
