Power Platform Developer / Contractor (Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint & Power BI) - Job Description

Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Power Platform Developer / Contractor to join our Process Excellence team.

The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining business automation and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, with a strong emphasis on process standardization, efficiency, governance, and value creation across Finance and Business functions.

  • Role Description

    The incumbent will be responsible for building end‑to‑end low‑code automation solutions leveraging Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Power BI.

    This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into scalable digital solutions, and ensure high‑quality delivery aligned with governance and compliance standards.

    Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps (Canvas & SharePoint‑integrated apps) for business process automation.
  • Build and manage Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, data movement, and system integrations.
  • Design and manage SharePoint Lists, Libraries, and Sites as data sources and collaboration platforms.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization.
  • Work closely with business users to gather requirements, document functional specifications, and propose automation solutions.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to governance, security, compliance, and documentation standards.
  • Perform testing, deployment, and post‑implementation support of automation solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues, optimize existing solutions, and implement enhancements.
  • Maintain technical documentation, user guides, and solution inventories.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for further automation and reporting enhancements.

  • Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
  • 8 months–1 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Experience working in Finance, Shared Services, or Operations environments is preferred.
  • Exposure to process automation, reporting, or digital transformation projects is an advantage.

  • Skill Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Power Apps (Canvas Apps).
  • Good working knowledge of Power Automate (triggers, actions, conditions, approvals).
  • Experience with SharePoint Online (Lists, Libraries, permissions).
  • Solid experience in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visuals, publishing).
  • Ability to work with Excel, CSV, SharePoint, and structured datasets.
  • Basic understanding of data governance, security roles, and access controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication skills for stakeholder interaction and requirement gathering.
