We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager / Technical Architect who has successfully managed multiple development teams and possesses deep technical expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Angular. The ideal candidate will drive technical excellence, mentor teams, define architecture, and ensure successful delivery of scalable, high-quality enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple cross-functional engineering teams across projects
• Define and own application architecture and technical roadmap
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Angular
• Oversee end-to-end delivery including design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Ensure best practices in code quality, performance, security, and scalability
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders
• Conduct technical reviews, mentor senior engineers, and build high-performing teams
• Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure predictable delivery
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements

Technical Skills Required

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Expertise in GraphQL (schema design, resolvers, performance optimization)
• Extensive experience with Angular (v15 or above)
• Experience in designing microservices and scalable backend systems
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, security, and authentication mechanisms
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Leadership & Management Skills

• Proven experience managing multiple teams simultaneously
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and people management capabilities
• Experience in stakeholder management and client communication
• Ability to balance technical depth with strategic thinking
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 15+ years of overall software development experience
• Prior experience in Engineering Manager, Technical Architect, or similar leadership roles

Nice to Have

• Experience with large-scale enterprise or SaaS platforms
• Exposure to performance tuning and system optimization
• Experience working in global delivery models
