We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Pharmacist to support the efficient functioning of our pharmacy. The ideal candidate will handle the day-to-day operations including prescription management, inventory control, customer service, and basic accounting duties. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:1. Prescription Handling:
Accurately process and dispense medications as per physician prescriptions.
Verify prescription details, checking for possible drug interactions or contraindications.
Provide proper labeling with clear instructions for use and storage.
Ensure all prescriptions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

2. Inventory and Order Management:
Manage and maintain adequate stock levels, ensuring proper inventory turnover.
Place orders with suppliers and manage incoming deliveries.
Track and manage product expiration dates, removing expired stock from inventory.
Perform regular inventory audits and generate stock reports.

3. Customer Service and Order Fulfillment:
Assist customers with prescription-related questions and over-the-counter medication inquiries.
Handle customer complaints or issues with empathy and professionalism.
Process online orders, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and dispatching for delivery.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and customer information in compliance with privacy laws.

4. Billing and Accounting:
Process all customer transactions including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments.
Maintain accurate sales records and ensure timely billing for orders.
Assist in reconciling daily sales with the pharmacy’s accounting system.
Manage records for insurance claims and ensure proper documentation for reimbursement.

5. Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure all pharmacy operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain accurate and organized records for prescriptions, orders, and sales.
Prepare reports on sales, inventory levels, and order fulfillment performance for management review.
Assist in any audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
