This role will be dedicated to managing and scaling the personal brand positioning of a nationally recognized social impact leader across media and public platforms.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a high-caliber Personal Brand Strategist / Media Relations Manager to architect, position, and scale leadership brands across national platforms.

This role goes beyond conventional PR execution. It requires strategic brand thinking, narrative development expertise, deep media relationships, and the ability to shape long-term perception capital.

The incumbent will design positioning frameworks, identify influence pathways, and build a credible thought leadership ecosystem across media, policy, impact, and digital domains.

Key Responsibilities:

(1). Personal Brand Architecture & Positioning Strategy:

- Develop a structured personal brand blueprint defining positioning pillars, value proposition, audience segments, and narrative themes.
- Identify whitespace opportunities within sector conversations.
- Design annual visibility roadmap aligned with long-term brand equity objectives.
- Align messaging across PR, digital, speaking engagements, and publications.

Success in this KRA requires strategic foresight, strong analytical ability, intellectual depth, and structured thinking.

(2). Strategic Media Relations & Influence Mapping:

- Map priority media houses, editors, journalists, podcast hosts, and opinion leaders.
- Build long-term, trust-based relationships rather than transactional pitching.
- Secure high-value placements including:
- National features
- Bylined opinion pieces
- Cover stories
- Television debates
- Podcasts & leadership forums
- Position leadership within relevant policy and impact discussions.

This requires solid persuasion skills, executive presence, credibility, and the confidence to engage senior editorial stakeholders.

(3). Thought Leadership Narrative Development:

- Translate leadership philosophy, speeches, and initiatives into compelling narratives.
- Craft thematic opinion frameworks aligned with national discourse.
- Work closely with content team to develop long-form and short-form positioning pieces.
- Ensure narrative consistency across platforms.

Requires exceptional editorial judgment, storytelling precision, and audience sensitivity.

(4). Reputation Capital & Perception Governance:

- Monitor media sentiment and brand positioning indicators.
- Identify potential reputational risks and prepare preventive communication plans.
- Develop crisis communication protocols and response frameworks.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while handling leadership communications.

Requires emotional maturity, discretion, and strong situational judgement.

(5). Strategic Collaborations & Visibility Platforms:

- Identify and secure speaking opportunities at relevant summits, conferences, and leadership forums.
- Build institutional relationships with ecosystem stakeholders.
- Explore collaborations that enhance brand authority.

Requires networking depth, stakeholder management skills, and opportunity evaluation capability.

(6). Strategic Collaborations & Visibility Platforms:

- Track coverage quality, share-of-voice, sentiment analysis, and audience engagement.
- Present structured quarterly visibility reports.
- Evaluate long-term brand equity progression.

Requires data interpretation ability and structured reporting discipline.

Qualification & Experience:

- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in communications, Journalism, Branding, Public Policy, or related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in:

o Leadership branding

o Strategic communications

o Media relations

o Corporate communications or agency PR

- Demonstrated experience handling CXO / Founder profiling.
- Strong national media network preferred.
- Exposure to education, CSR, public policy, or social impact ecosystem is advantageous.
