Performance Marketer + Content Lead

Location: Onsite (Mumbai, India)
Brand: Unwynd
Market: India D2C (Instagram + Meta Ads)

Role Overview

This is an execution-heavy, in-house role. You will own both performance marketing (Meta Ads) and content production (Instagram Reels + ad creative) for Unwynd’s D2C growth. The strategy exists — we need someone who executes relentlessly and iterates without waiting to be pushed.

You will be responsible for:
  • Running Meta Ads end-to-end — from zero pixel data to a profitable acquisition engine
  • Managing the content production pipeline — briefing, reviewing, and shipping reels weekly
  • Building and managing a freelance shoot and edit team
  • Working directly with founders on creative direction and performance strategy

  • You must be able to independently execute end-to-end from creative brief to live ad — without constant supervision.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Performance Marketing — Meta Ads
  • Own the Meta ads account end-to-end — campaign setup, audience management, creative testing, budget scaling
  • Build the TOF / MOF / BOF funnel from zero pixel data; set up Conversions API (CAPI) from Day 1
  • Test 3+ creative angles per week — kill underperformers at ₹1,000 spend, replace immediately
  • Scale winning campaigns by 20% weekly without resetting the learning phase
  • Report weekly on ROAS, CTR, CPM, frequency, and ATC cost — no vanity metrics
  • Manage ad spend starting at ₹50K/month scaling to ₹15L/month by Month 3

  • 2. Content Production — Organic Reels + Ad Creative
  • Brief and manage freelance editor and shoot team to produce 8–12 reels per month
  • Work from existing video bank in Month 1; onboard shoot team from Month 2 onwards
  • Ensure organic and paid creative pipelines are always full — no gaps, no delays
  • Brief creatives with specific hooks, formats, and references — not mood boards
  • Understand what makes craft and wellness content perform on Instagram — ASMR pacing, process shots, objection-removing captions

  • 3. Creative Strategy & Testing
  • Convert one concept into multiple ad variations for simultaneous testing
  • Adapt content for different audience segments — WFH professionals, gifting occasions, college students, new mothers
  • Analyse what creatives are working each week and brief replacements immediately
  • Build a creative testing rhythm — brief on Monday, live by Wednesday, decision by Friday

  • 4. Funnel & D2C Growth
  • Work with founders on landing page CVR — diagnose and recommend fixes, not just flag issues
  • Set up email retargeting in parallel with paid — build the list from Month 1
  • Identify seasonal hooks, gifting angles, and campaign moments that drive AOV uplift
  • Track CAC, AOV, and ROAS weekly — own the D2C numbers alongside the founder

  • We strongly prefer candidates from a D2C brand background who are used to moving at founder speed and being held accountable to weekly numbers.

    Skills & Qualifications
  • 2–4 years running Meta Ads for a D2C brand — not an agency managing 20 clients simultaneously
  • Proven ability to manage a creative production pipeline — briefing, reviewing, and shipping on a weekly cycle
  • Hands-on experience building Meta funnels from scratch, including Conversions API (CAPI) setup
  • Startup or founder-led environment experience — comfortable with pace, ambiguity, and direct accountability
  • Strong understanding of Instagram Reels content formats and what drives watch time and engagement
  • Experience working with lifestyle brands — wellness, home decor, gifting, or similar visual-first categories is highly valued
  • Passion for arts, crafts, creativity or DIY products will be a strong advantage
  • Experience managing freelance shoot and edit teams to deliver consistent output
  • Familiarity with email retargeting tools (Klaviyo, Mailchimp) is a plus
  • Basic understanding of landing page CRO is a plus
