A manufacturing-focused role in the textile and apparel production sector supporting plant-level payroll operations, statutory filings, and workforce compliance across India. The position is on-site and works closely with HR, operations, and finance to ensure accurate, timely payroll and regulatory adherence for hourly and salaried factory employees.

Location: India — On-site

Role & Responsibilities
  • Process end-to-end monthly payroll for factory and office employees: attendance validation, earnings & deductions, reconciliations, and salary disbursement coordination.
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns and payments including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and TDS—ensure timelines and accuracy for all filings.
  • Maintain and reconcile statutory records: PF trust files, ESIC submissions, TDS statements, and vendor/employee portals.
  • Manage attendance, shift allowances, overtime calculations and integration with biometric/timekeeping systems; resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
  • Coordinate audits and inspections with labour authorities, PF/ESI officials and support internal & external compliance reviews.
  • Implement payroll process controls and continuous improvements—standardise templates, checklists and documentation to minimise risk and errors.

  • Must-Have
  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll operations within manufacturing or textile environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of PF, ESI, TDS, and Professional Tax statutory processes and filings.
  • Proficiency with HRMS/Payroll systems (SAP HR Payroll, ADP, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel for reconciliations.
  • Experience managing attendance systems, overtime, shift payrolls and payroll reconciliations.
  • Solid understanding of Indian labour law compliance and factory/shift workforce practices.
  • Preferred
  • Previous exposure to unionised environments, factory payroll complexity, or multiple-plant coordination.
  • Familiarity with payroll portal filings (PF/ESIC/TAN) and liaison experience with statutory authorities.
