Job Title: Game Story Writer & Editor – Indian Mythology

Location: New Delhi, India (Full-time, In office)

Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Game Story Writer & Editor to lead the development of narrative content for our upcoming game. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating, writing, and editing storylines, character dialogues, and lore inspired by Indian mythology, while ensuring seamless integration with the game’s design and artistic direction.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi, India. Candidates applying for this role must be willing and able to work from the New Delhi office for the duration of the project.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and structure the game’s overall narrative, including main storylines, missions, and character relationships.
- Write and edit in-game text, dialogues, lore documents, and narrative scripts consistent with the game’s tone and style.
- Conduct in-depth research on Indian mythology, epic literature, and folklore to ensure accuracy and cultural authenticity.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and developers to integrate storytelling elements into gameplay and visual presentation.
- Review and revise story-related content to maintain consistency, pacing, and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain narrative documentation including story outlines, character biographies, and tone guides.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Literature, Game Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience as a Writer, Narrative Designer, or Editor in game development, film, or related media.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Indian mythology, historical contexts, and culturally nuanced storytelling.
- Proven ability to create engaging stories and dialogues adapted for interactive media.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English;
knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages is an advantage.
- Experience working with interactive storytelling tools and game narrative systems (e.G., Twine, Ink).
- Solid communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in New Delhi, India.

Preferred Skills

- Prior experience in action, RPG, or mythology-based game projects will be a plus.
- Familiarity with cinematic scriptwriting and video-game storytelling techniques.
- Understanding of cultural adaptation in narrative design for international audiences.
